We are required to comply with the Federal Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and therefore our privacy policy applies to any personal information we collect, use or disclose, including the personal information of our employees and contractors.

We collect personal information in order to provide various services to our clients. With consent, we may also use personal information for related purposes including providing clients with updates on our products and services. Information collected include:
- Identity and contact information including but are not limited to: name, address, phone number, email address.
- Information about your child’s educational status including but not limited to: name and year level.
- Information provided in regards to using our service including student subjects and session availability.
- Billing and accounting information including payment and credit card information.

Austutoring.com.au uses Google Analytics to assist with the functioning of our website. When someone visits our website we collect information on visitor usage including standard internet log information. This enables us to better improve our website for a better user experience.
How we use and disclose personal information
We do not use or disclose personal information for any purpose that is unrelated to the services we provide and that you would not reasonably expect (except with client consent). We have a duty to maintain the confidentiality of our clients’ affairs, including personal information. Our duty of confidentiality to our clients applies, except where disclosure of personal information is consented to by the client or is compelled by law.
Client personal information may be disclosed to approved third parties who are also required to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Employees and Contractors
Austutoring requires the personal information of applicants to assess suitability for the position. This information includes, but is not limited to: identity and contact information, CV and job history, child protection checks including blue card and teacher registration and banking information. If your application is successful this information will be stored securely and will only be used by Austutoring. You will be notified if we require this information to be shared with any third party. Austutoring may disclose this information if required by law by Australian government organisations.

We endeavour to protect any personal information that we hold from misuse and/or loss, and to protect it from unauthorised access, modification and/or disclosure.
